The Bristol energy startup is opening its grid-balancing product to regional operators after a year of trials.
Halcyon Grid has launched its battery orchestration product commercially after twelve months of trials with two distribution network operators.\n\nThe software forecasts local demand and schedules charging and discharging across clusters of grid-scale batteries, which the company says lifted trial site revenues by a fifth.\n\nThe launch follows a seed extension earlier this year and coincides with Ofgem consultations on faster grid connection queues.
